Rhonda Kay (Kahane) has been thrilling NY and Long Island audiences for years with her stage performances, musical theatre appearances and vocal prowess.  She has a passion for Broadway and show music, and has appeared at the Metropolitan Room and the Laurie Beechman Theatre in Manhattan. She also has starred in many Long Island theatre roles over the year including  as Rizzo in Grease, Marion in the Music Man, and Adelaide and Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls.  She is excited to engage in this new project with some of Long Island and NYs well known studio and ensemble musicians as her trio. .  She hopes to share her love of Broadway and the American Songbook with audiences and fans through out the Metro area.  

Brad Sporkin- percussion, drums, recording

 Brad, the "Roc Doc", has been playing drums professionally for decades.  He was trained in classical percussion and jazz in Philadelphia, and has traveled and played with some of the top icons of jazz, and big bands and presently performing with a top horn band, Tradewinds and jazz quartet, Jazzopedia.   He also is a studio engineer and has recorded many top LI and NY ensembles and vocalists.  He is honored to be part of the Backstage Trio with Rhonda headlining. 

Robert Fishman-Keyboards, Piano, vocalist

  Rob has been a musical icon in the NY/Long Island area for years.  He is well known as a professional pianist, and also as music director for scores of musical theatre productions including Star Playhouse for years. He recently was musical director for Mama Mia, and previously Les Miserables, and Oliver.  He also is an accomplished percussionist, vibraphone player, and vocalist and graduated SUNY Purchase with a music degree. 

Edgar Mills- acoustic and electric bass

  Edgar has been playing and working in the NY/metro areas for decades and has been a part of countless jazz, fusion and pop groups and shared the stage with many jazz icons.  He is a well regarded first call acoustic bassist.   Working with some international players , he also has been been featured in numerous jazz recordings but is also an accomplished studio and recording engineer and videographer. He also has been on the board of the Coltrane House, dedicated to the memory of local LI John Coltrane.
